Hello World!
I am currently a PhD student in School of Cybersecurity and Privacy, Georgia Institute of Technology, and co-advised by Paul Pearce and Frank Li. Prior to attending Tech, I was a Master's student in Computer Science at the University of Iowa and a member of SPARTA Lab at UIOWA, supervised by Rishab Nithyanand. I got my B.S. degree in Computer Engineering at Middle East Technical University, Turkey in 2019.
Besides doing research, I love coming up with new little project ideas that can help us to automate any work we are doing during daily life. I love exploring new technologies and experimenting on them. Just e-mail me, share your idea about any subject, and we can start thinking about how to make it real. Check out my GitHub profile for my previous publicly available projects.
I also love making music, cooking and photography (especially black and white photography for now).
In brief, my research interests can be grouped under network & web security, anonymity, privacy and censorship. In addition to these, I previously worked on IoT security, graph & text mining and game development. Currently, I am working on exploring how new networking technologies, such as Multipath-TCP, can be used to mitigate the threats of website fingerprinting attacks on users' privacy and anonymity.
